Our Mission Statement

Honor God by

Concern for our Community.

With this in mind, how do we reach our potential as a church?

One way to start is by asking God questions. For example, what does God want us to do?

Jesus brought it into focus by simply saying love God and love people.

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself. All the law and all the prophets hang on these two commandments." Matthew 22: 37-40

This is lived out through the Great Commission.

"Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." Matthew 28: 19-20

So, as we seek to fulfill the Great Commandment and the Great Commision, we understand our existence through five statements. HBC exists to:

1. Celebrate God's presence through loving God (Ministry of worship)

2. Demonstrate God's love through loving people (Ministry of service)

3. Communicate God's love through sharing our faith (Ministry of evangelism)

4. Welcome God's people into His family (Ministry of Fellowship)

5. Educate God's people through Bible study (Ministry of Discipleship)

What you will find at Hillside, is a church that completely desires to fulfill our unique, God given role.
